Streamside Bed and Breakfast
Streamside Bed & Breakfast in beautiful Chalk Creek Canyon

2010 brings changes to Streamside B&B.  After 20 years welcoming guest to our streamside home in the heart of Colorado’s Sawatch Mountain Range, and the Collegiate Peaks, we will be changing our breakfast format.

We have installed refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers in each of our three rooms.   Breakfast in your room will be continental, consisting of our signature Streamside granola, muffins, milk, yogurt, juice and coffee or tea.

Streamside is an award winning bed and breakfast located within the boundaries of the San Isabel National Forest, 12 miles southwest of Buena Vista. Streamside Bed and Breakfast rests between 14,269-foot Mount Antero and 14,197-foot Mount Princeton on Chalk Creek at an elevation of 8,500 feet.

Streamside is directly adjacent to a wildlife refuge.

Summer and winter streamsideSpring and summer brings with it an irresistible urge to explore. The Colorado Trail crosses just one mile from our driveway. For the more adventurous hiker, there are 14 peaks over 14,000 feet in altitude surrounding our area. River rafting at its best, on the Arkansas River, is a 10 minute drive.

Mountain Wildflowers abound in the high country in July and August. A 15-minute drive takes you to St. Elmo, one of the state's best preserved Ghost Towns harkening back to early gold mining days. Chalk Creek is an angler’s delight summer through fall, offering Rainbow, Brook, Brown and Native Cut Throat Trout.

Historic Mount Princeton outdoor natural hot mineral springs pools, open year round to the public, are just five minutes down the road. Mt. Princeton Public Stables are open for horseback riding.

Autumn in our canyon heralds brilliant warm sun splashed days and crisp nights that accompany a display of aspen gold unequaled anywhere in Colorado's Rockies.

Streamside: Chalk Creek forms a border of our property. We invite you to enjoy the creek as it tumbles through the lovely sitting area, in a natural wooded setting. There are picnic tables, fire pit and lounge chairs available to our guests.

We are environmental advocates with extensive knowledge of this canyon. We look forward to helping our guests plan their daily adventures which may include hiking, bicycling, river rafting, scenic walks, mountain climbing or horseback riding. If fishing is your thing, we will share with you some of our favorite spots.
